Reminder: Students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5: Bring your Mobile Public Library card so that you may check out a book from the MPL Bookmobile.
This onsite field trip is FREE for our students in grades PreK4-5 and will afford students an opportunity to tour the bookmobile, check out a book and learn about the Mobile Public Library summer reading program.

Please mark your calendars. The Mobile Public Library Bookmobile is coming to John Will Elementary School Thursday, May 14, 2026. Students in grades 2-5 are advised to bring their Mobile Public Library card so they may check out a book. Students in grades PreK4-5 will tour the bookmobile. The event is FREE of charge.
The Crane Book Fair is coming to the John Will Library! April 28-May 1 and 5-8, 2026. Students must purchase a book to READ. Students must have at least $5 to purchase a book to read. Students are advised to bring $10 or more if purchasing journals, toys and trinkets.

JWES Annual Mardi Gras Sneaker Ball February 6, 2026; 5pm-8pm in the JWES Gymnasium- student tickets $15/Parent tickets $20; Presale begins January 5, 2026.
Ticket sales for the event will begin on January 5 and end on January 30.

Students in 3rd through 5th grade must be signed in and out by a guardian who has a valid ID.
No more than 2 adults per student and no students who does not attend John Will may
attend. Please be aware that any student or adult who is inappropriately dressed will
be turned away at the door.

Parents, please encourage each child to spread Christmas cheer and donate at least 1 unwrapped toy in support of the MCPSS's annual Stuff the Bus Toy Drive to give toys to families in need so they can have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas like everyone else.
The deadline to donate is Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
